Wholesale Dry Ice in Calgary

Our wholesale program involves buying it by the 500 lb container.   These containers make the dry ice last much longer.   We also provide delivery with our dedicated truck.

Why Buy From Calgary Dry Ice?

  • We can produce up to 37,500 lbs per day at our Calgary location, and have plenty of excess capacity.
  • To ensure top quality AND quantity, your dry ice is “made to order” – typically the same day if is picked up/shipped.  Dry ice is perishable, especially pellets/rice.  We understand the importance of “fresh” dry ice, especially for dry ice blasting applications.
  • Superior customer service.  We make sure our customers are taken care of properly, and have the references to back it up!

Formats available for wholesale are: 3mm pellets (“rice”), 16mm nuggets (“fingers”) and 5″ x 8″ bricks (thickness range from .75″ to 2.75″, depending on customer request).

If you require 500 lbs per week or more, our wholesale program may make sense for you. This represents 80% of our business. We ship our pellets and nuggets and now bricks to customers throughout Western Canada, and especially Southern Alberta. We also provide Calgary deliveries with our dedicated truck.

Our containers hold @ 500 lbs each, they are sold by the full container (we don’t sell half full containers). They are designed specifically for dry ice; it will only disappear (sublimate) at a rate of @ 4% per day (based on manufacturer testing). We offer delivery and need the empty containers back within 1-2 weeks. Pricing depends on a few things; please give us a call.

SAFETY WARNINGS & DISCLAIMER

Dry ice is extremely cold (-79 degrees Celsius), so always use gloves or a towel when handling it!  Do not put dry ice in your mouth!

Dry ice converts to carbon dioxide gas. If left in a confined space, the carbon dioxide gas will displace oxygen and present a suffocation hazard.  Do not inhale dry ice vapour.

Do not trap dry ice in a container that is completely airtight (coolers are ok). When dry ice sublimates to carbon dioxide gas, the gas pressure greatly expands. This expansion will cause an airtight container to expand and possibly explode.

Calgary Dry Ice Ltd is not responsible for personal injury or damages of any kind that result from the improper handing or misuse of dry ice sold or given to its customers.
